The Courthouse {Part I}

About 10 years ago, this beautiful old building {that we affectionately call The Courthouse} went on the market.  In our tiny little town this used to be the original police-station/courthouse and residence. It sits on 1 acre of land and neighbours our little railway cottage. It was in pretty bad repair and we really couldn't afford it but the thought of someone knocking it down played with our heartstrings so with the banks help we bought it, did a little painting inside and put tenants in it.
Fast forward to January 2016, our daughter was looking for somewhere to live and rents being so high everywhere we thought why don't we make the courthouse section into a studio apartment.  So the renovation process began.
 Firstly, it needed re-stumping and a new roof and guttering.  We found some local tradesmen to help us with this construction process.
Next Part II - removing internal ceiling and construction inside
